Jacket – Light Blue RAF Officer’s Service Dress (1918 Pattern)

Royal Air Force (RAF) 1918 pattern officer's light blue service dress jacket, worn by Lieutenant/Flying Officer Alfred George Jennings.

Gold Flying Officer rank on sleeves.  Fixed belt with solid brass two-prong buckle.  RAF King's crown and eagle buttons.  Observer badge above proper left breast pocket, with medal ribbon bar below comprising four ribbons: Military Cross (MC); 1914-15 Star; British War Medal; Victory Medal.  "A G Jennings, Esq", "C.9196" and date 30/10/18 handwritten on manufacturer's label.  Patch type breast pockets and expanding ("bellows") type skirt pockets.  Ticket pocket at waist.  Fully lined with medium grey satin.  Three pockets in lining.
