Remembering ANZAC

Date published:
Monday, 4 August, 2014

Almost every town in Australasia and New Zealand has a memorial to those who died in the First World War, and these monuments are such a familiar part of our landscape that we sometimes fail to see them.

But acclaimed photographer Laurence Aberhart has looked at them closely and the result is ANZAC, a collection of 70 magnificent photographs, with an introduction by well-known historian, Jock Phillips. See the photographs and hear both men discuss the stories behind the memorials with Christchurch Art Gallery director Jenny Harper.

When: Sunday, 31 August 2.30pm
Venue: Rydges Savoy 2
